Preschool Intervention and Referral Team (PIRT)

If you have any concerns about your child’s development or wish to learn more about the available support services, please reach out to your child’s teacher or the Preschool Intervention Referral Specialist (PIRS). Intervention and Referral Services (I&RS) Committee
At the Ocean Township School District, we strive to create a supportive and inclusive educational environment where every student can succeed. The Intervention and Referral Services (I&RS) Committee is essential in this effort, focusing on identifying and addressing the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students from kindergarten through sixth grade. This multidisciplinary team of educators, administrators, and specialists collaborates to develop and implement strategies that promote student success and well-being. Parents are vital to their child’s educational success. If you have concerns regarding your child’s academic performance, behavior, or emotional well-being, we encourage you to contact your child’s teacher or school counselor. They will assist you with the referral process to the I&RS Committee and work with you to create a support plan tailored to your child’s needs.
