The Board of Education and the Administration began the goal-setting process by discussing the strengths of the district and those initiatives in progress. The Board of Education finalized the following goals for the 2023-2024 school year:
District Goals-2023-2024
- Continue to improve math proficiency/ability for all students at the Ocean Township School District. Continue to foster an environment of mathematicians in our district.
- Create opportunities to engage families in their child’s education, in order to best support students academically.
- Continue to explore alternate financing as the district will experience reductions in state aid due to the S2 funding formula.
Board Goals-2023-2024
- Continue to improve & connect with the Ocean Township community through various modalities of community engagement in order to best support students and further the mission of the Ocean Township School District, and continue and expand our “Mariner Pride”.
- Board of Education members will continue to enrich their knowledge of BOE purpose and responsibilities through various means of training and professional development.
