Enclosed is your child’s summer learning packet. Included within are a Math Summer Road Map and a Summer Reading Log. These activities are designed to promote exploration and conversation throughout the summer in order to prevent any learning loss.
We encourage you to review the activities with your child. For each activity completed and book read (on your independent reading level), your child will receive one point. Based on accrued points, students will be placed into various prize categories and will be rewarded at our second annual summer learning pep rally, which will be held September 2020.
I encourage you to visit our local library as well as explore our grade level reading list on our website www.otsdk6.org. Additionally, entering sixth graders may utilize their Battle of the Books List to fulfill their Summer Reading Log.
