The New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA) marked its first administration in 2019 and provides standardized assessments for English Language Arts, Mathematics (NJSLA-ELA/Math) and Science (NJSLA-S).
Renaissance Testing is utilized for grades Kindergarten through 6th to measure proficiency in the areas of Reading and Math, tailor instruction, as well as to encourage students to read for enjoyment through the Accelerated Reader Program. All students are assessed a minimum of four times per year.
Digital Item Library
The Digital Item Library provides access to items previously administered on a New Jersey Department of Education assessment. The library categorizes items by Evidence Statements or Common Core State Standards and contains searchable fields to help find specific items. Items can be previewed in the format presented on the computer-based assessment or downloaded as individual or bulk PDFs.
